Hunt for the Wilder people SEXXXY Paragraph

In hurumanu 1, we are doing our second SEXXY paragraph of the hunt for the wilder people. 

Hec’s Haiku at Psycho Sam’s house was important to the film. It was important because it made the audience laugh but it also made them feel that Hec was warming up to Ricky after five months. Taika Waititi included it because it meant that Hec was trying to change and write a Haiku like Ricky always does. The lighting in this scene was very dim because it was at night, also Hec was trying to relax even after being on the run for five months. In my opinion, this was one of the more important bits of the film because it shaped some of the story and it was quite funny just like the whole movie.

I learned that it is important to give evidence in a text. This has helped my writing because it tells me the structure of what my writing should be. My favourite part of the film study has been watching the film.

100 Word challenge: The Antarctica Attack

Hi in Wananga we chose to read a book and then pick 3 interesting words. After that, we then need to write a 100-word challenge including those 3 words.

The Antarctica Attack

On a very cold day in Antarctica, the Army was planning to do an attack on the Russians. Tensions were tight because if something went wrong the whole mission would be jeopardized. 

They had pinpointed the Russians at Scott’s base and were waiting for the right time. So at 21:00 Seargent Smith ordered the attack. When they arrived they had realized it was too late. The Russians had got word of the attack and had already fled.

The Seargeant was determined to find out who was the weak link and interestingly had found out it was the Staff Sergeant.

My Conflict and Chaos Slides

SEXXY Paragraph

I'm going to explain some conflict and chaos examples in the movie hunt for the WilderPeople. Ricky and his Uncle called Hec had a difficult relationship with each other through out the whole movie like when Ricky was teasing Hec about not being able to read and Hec got angry at him and tried to attack him but accidentally fractured his ankle. Also when Ricky accidentally shot Hec in the back of the leg. Another example of conflict was when Ricky and Hec were running away from the government, police and the army. Evidence for that are that they were chasing them for 5 months. Some more evidence was when one of the hunters were about to shoot Hec. All this conflict that happened for Ricky and Hec most likely brought them closer then if it all didn't happen.

Food: Banana Choc Chip Muffins

On Friday Period 4 we had a practical session for foods. This session we made Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins. The recipe was to mix sugar, salt, choc chips and self-raising flour in the large bowl.(We didn't use baking powder because baking powder was already in the self-raising flour.) We then mixed the contents of both bowls into the large bowl.

We then spooned the mixture into paper cups which we put into the muffin tray so the muffins didn't stick to the tray.

The taste of the muffins were delicious because you tasted bananas and chocolate chips. The texture was warm and soft. The appearance was nice and exactly how a muffin should look like. 

My team worked really well and did everything on time we all put in a lot of equal effort.

Any modifications we would make would we could change the chocolate chips and instead replace it with raisins.
