Hi readers, today in English Period 1 we are learning about debates and so we have 5 words to define in our own words.
Debating: People stating their reasoning and disagreeing with each other.
Pro vs Con: The upside vs the downside so why it's good and why it's bad.
Proposition: Something that's good that fits with what you're debating about.
Opposition: A downside that's got something to do with what you're debating about.
Order of debate: Different roles each team member has so the first upside, then the first downside, then the second upside and so on until the third downside.
