Everyone has different fingerprints that's why it's such a good source of information for forensic scientists. There are 3 types of fingerprints: Arches, loops, and Whorls. Arches are the rarest type of fingerprints with only 5% of people having them. They enter from one side and out the other. Loops are the most common type with 60 to 65% of people having them. They enter and exit the same side. 30-35% of people have whorls they are most of the time rounded.
